It all started long ago. As many people I think as a child I already knew the tunes off Bob Marley. By growing older and more consiousness about the world I'dd live in the songs started to have more meanings and feelings about them. Social, political, musical, spiritual. I started to look out for other kinds off reggae music and artists...

 

In the summer off 2002 I came back to I-Town after living for about 5 years in Gent. I fast knew peole as jaffeugo and jamal, mad nyah and the Thabazzco crew. About that time Uruhu started with the more fire partys. As I was asked to play at a small reggae party in 'n Westouterik I started a Sound TRIBULATION SOUND with selecta Mad Nyah. We played at severals more fires and even stood in the VK.

 

But, as beautiffull songs sometimes don't live long, Tribulation also went down. But at the same time, LiBerTy sound was born. At first I self as selector Raffaga, fast came mc Bullet and mc Flatfeetah. Now, in march 2006, LiBerTy sound (Low Budget Team) excists one year. We played @ Westival als. Supersonic, Azzrock, Positive Young Lion, Mad Nyah, Thabazczo... We organized some bashes als. Coolrock outta Amsterdam, Sentinel worldclashwinner, more fire sound Uruhu and many more.

 

LiBerTy like to spin da wheels, bringing an amazing positive fire off slow and fast reggae music - dancehall and ragga inna upbuilding mood. Since 2005 LiBerTy is one off the organizers off a brand new festival te Watou-Poperinge. Last year, 2005, we did it under the name WESTIVAL, the new edition off 2006 will go as JAH MAKE YA FESTIVAL. LiBerTy dates 2007

 

na een lange zoektocht kan LiBerTy sound permanent terecht in Zaal De Klepper te Ieper, Kanteelpad nabij meubelen Crack. Dit maakt het mogelijk een verre blik in de toekomst te werpen en de eigen evenementen vast te leggen. Ook in 2007 worden een 4 tal eigen projecten geprogrammeerd.

 

How to find De Klepper???

Volg de A 19 richting Ieper. Neem dan de afslag HEUVELLAND. Linksaf richting Ieper centrum. Altijd rechtdoor tot aan rotonde. Deze rond en rechtdoor, blijf ring volgen. Opnieuw rotonde (meubelen crack zie je nu al rechts voor je). Ga hier naar rechts, net voorbij parking meubelen crack een klein baantje linksaf en parkeer. 

Watch out fi signs, vanaf de afrit heuvelland zullen aanwijzers de zoektocht vergemakkelijken

LiBerTy and friends

General Good outta Reims (fr)

at the beginning off 2006 a nice gall Melissa introduced me to General Good. We cutted some dubs (calling/mach up di dance) and since than we found eachother as friends. General is a wicked fast style singer with an excellent flow which burn di dance over and over again. Comming time LiBerTy and General will appear on stage several times together bringing an amazing blazing live show.

General Good is a wikkid, underrated French raggamuffin' soldier out of Ivory Coast (Africa), based & raised in Reims, France. He created his own lyrical flow on legendary digital yard riddims, influenced by the French/West Indies scene with artists like Daddy Mory & Admiral T.
